Mousetrap

Anna, Sarah and Amy

Last weekend we went to see my sister Sarah perform in her local community theatre, as mentioned here. She played a character in a murder-mystery play from one of my favorite authors, Agatha Christie.

Sarah in character

Sarah took on the role of a newly-married british woman who becomes one of the suspects and carried her accent and role flawlessly. We were very impressed with her ease of manner on stage. It is fun to watch her doing something she enjoys.

Actully, I couldn't relax for the first five minutes of the play because I was worried that Sarah might forget one of her lines or freeze or forget to speak in her British voice. I was thinking of how I would feel if I had to be up there saying lines and acting in front of a hundred people. But then I was able to relax and enjoy the show once I remembered Sarah is a natural at this, wanted to do this and really, really likes it. Great job, Sarah!

"Did anyone see Julie Andrews walk this way?"
