Can You Clean Rice With Comet?

James thinks you can. But Andrew has a few years on him and knows you go straight for the broom.

This is what I walked in on this morning.

It doesn't look like much, but if you have ever tried to clean up cooked rice you know how much fun it was to sweep it up. I still have to mop the gummy residue off the floor.

Brian was gone for three days this week and I felt like I needed a morning off today. Except I forgot that you can't take a morning off from a job that doesn't stop for about eighteen years/child. (Or longer, if necessary.)

So while I was in my room reading a book pretending I could have some R and R with no consequences, the boys were very busy making sure I didn't forget a cardinal rule of being the primary caregiver for two boys under the age of 75: know where they are and what they are doing AT ALL TIMES.

Oh, Amy, Amy, Amy. I'm so sorry. I've had a few times like that where I momentarily forgot I was going to have to clean/repair any damage that resulted from some R and R. Sigh. At least you took a picture. :) Like Micah's toenail painting. And they're so proud of what they've accomplished.

Ha! I have stopped giving SB rice for that very reason. Even just a little around her high chair is enough to give me a headache; I can't imagine you had a good day after that mess!
