Brian bought me the best mixer out there for my birthday. I have had it a week and have already realized the capabilities of this machine outweigh my wildest dreams. I think everyone will get banana bread this year for Christmas.

I think he was trying to give me a hint. Too bad I broke my one bread pan a couple of weeks ago. But maybe that will be my Christmas present.
I did make an Italian cream cake from the recipe book that came with the mixer. Pretty awesome machine. I could have painted my toenails or read a book while that thing was whipping egg whites for the cake. It was very satisfying to look over periodically and see the transition from soupy mess to fluffy clouds of meringue. And with very minimal effort on my part. Beautiful.

Oops. Happy birthday. Sorry, I forgot. I can't even claim that something kept seeming familiar about March 8th (that is right, isn't it? My poor mamma brain feels fried lately.) because it didn't happen. Glad Brian chose you such a good gift.
Oooh, I am drooling...great presents! I have a KitchenAid but not that deluxe model and I've had some problems with mine. You'll have to report back on the book sometime too.
